THE LAST FLIGHTS LONDON-HEATHROW TO N.Y.!All seven jets of the BA Concorde fleet ended up in museums or as static exhibits at airports! As a result of financial pressures, both British Airways and Air France decided to withdraw Concorde from their fleets. This brought the 34-year era of the one and only supersonic passenger aircraft to an end. On 23rd October 2003, the last scheduled BA Concorde took off for her final direct flight from London to New York. After the last paying passengers had disembarked, she jetted back to Heathrow on the 24th with many VIPs aboard. This kit captures the last journey of Concorde BOAD on 10th November 2003 from Heathrow to New York's JFK Airport, where the Lady of the Skies was loaded onto a barge which towed her up the Hudson River to the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum.
